Fed: Allison to make announcement on Dems' leader: report

CANBERRA, Dec 12 AAP - Australian Democrats acting leader Senator Lyn Allison would
make an announcement on the party's leadership today, ABC radio has reported.

Phone calls to Democrats senators and staff members seeking confirmation have been unanswered.

Democrats leader Andrew Bartlett has taken indefinite leave but has not officially
stood down after he drunkenly manhandled 62-year-old Liberal senator Jeannie Ferris and
verbally abused her a week ago.
