VISA SEES A NEW DAY IN ITS RELATIONSHIP WITH AMEX.(Brief Article)

In a keynote address this morning before the American Bankers Association, Visa USA President and CEO, Carl Pascarella, told card executives that his association is prepared to compete with American Express Co. differently because of Wednesday's appellate-court decision. "If this means we compete with AmEx in a new way-so be it," Pascarella told delegates attending the ABA-Forward Financial Bank Card Conference in Dallas. He did not disclose any details.
