Vic: Teenager severs arm in fall from train
A teenager has had his arm severed by the wheels of moving train after falling while
swinging from the side of a carriage at Bendigo, in central Victoria.
Police say the accident occurred this afternoon while a train driver was moving a goods
train from Bendigo Railway Station.
They say a 19-year-old man jumped onto one of the trucks and began swinging from the
carriage as the train began to move.
He fell, severing his right arm under the wheels.
Police say a friend called an ambulance and the victim was taken to Bendigo Base Hospital
pending transport to Melbourne's St Vincent's Hospital.
The name of the injured man has not been released.
